United States-based Zimbabwean musician Julian King is lucky to be alive after surviving a road accident.
The car crash occurred on Sunday, 26 November 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
Julian King’s management confirmed the unfortunate event:
“Dear Julian King’s dedicated fans and supporters, we regret to inform you that Julian King was involved in an accident in the morning of Sunday, November 26 in Dallas Texas, USA.”
The team informed the public and his fans that he is currently in hospital getting treatment for the injuries he sustained in the car accident. They also thanked his supporters for the prayers and well wishes.
“He is currently receiving medical care, and our thoughts are with him for a swift recovery. Your outpouring of love has been incredible, and we appreciate your concern during this challenging time. Your prayers and well wishes mean the world to us. We will update you with any significant developments. Thank you for being a source of strength for Julian.”
Julian King’s accident comes a month after the nation lost singer Garry Mapanzure. Garry tragically lost his life on 13 October 2023 after a fatal accident in Masvingo. The crash also claimed the lives of his nephew and his friend, Langton Madima, on the spot. Garry was hospitalised and died in the early hours of 13 October 2023.

In July, gospel musician Diva Mafunga perished in another accident when his Nissan Vannete veered off the road. He was towing another vehicle and after passing an oncoming bus, he swerved, and the tow bar broke. The little van plunged into a ditch and crashed into rocks and trees. Mafunga was hurled outside, and he smacked a rock with his head.
Social media users wished Julian King a speedy recovery.
