In a heartbreaking turn of events, talented Tanzanian songstress Haitham Kim has died.
She gained widespread recognition in Zimbabwe after her collaboration on the remix of Jah Master’s hit song “Hello Mwari.”
Her management confirmed the news of Haitham Kim’s demise. Her manager, Ben Q, took to social media to share a photo of Haitham with the caption “Rest in peace.”
Haitham Kim breathed her last on Friday, September 1, at Temeke Hospital in Dar es Salaam. Although the exact cause of death is yet to be undisclosed, she had been admitted to Temeke Hospital with COVID-19-like symptoms. Doctors said she was suffering from respiratory problems, including pneumonia.
Initially, Haitham Kim seemed to be on the path to recovery, but her condition took a sudden turn for the worse four days ago.
Close family members disclosed that she initially fell ill with a fever and subsequently experienced difficulties with her breathing.
Her husband Boshen recounted how Haitham was initially hospitalized in a regular ward, where she relied on an oxygen machine for breathing. However, her health deteriorated significantly four days ago, necessitating her transfer to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“We took her to the hospital, and she stayed in a normal ward for a few days, breathing with the help of an oxygen machine, until four days ago, when her health deteriorated and she was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),” said her husband.
In a collective effort, her family, close friends, and fellow artists initiated a campaign to support Haitham with her medical expenses. Recently, Harmonize, the CEO of Konde Gang, called for immediate contributions towards Haitham’s medical bills.
Fans and fellow artists have expressed their profound sorrow and offered their support to the grieving family.
Haitham Kim was renowned for her musical talents, with several notable tracks to her name, including “Hakutaki,” “Dubai,” “I Wish,” “Utamu” featuring Young Lunya, and “I Love You.”
