Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, a South African reality TV star, actress, and businesswoman, is still legally married to her husband Sibusiso “Sbu” Mpisane, but his whereabouts have become a mystery.
While news of their divorce emerged in 2018, it has been reported that the divorce is not yet finalized, and the delay is attributed to the significant assets, including cash, movable and immovable property, that need to be divided. The couple was married in community of property, which complicates the process.
MaMkhize previously revealed on her reality show that one of the reasons for their marital problems was Sbu’s self-love, which resulted in her feeling neglected. She expressed the need to rediscover herself and regain her identity.
Despite their marriage troubles, sources state that MaMkhize is still legally referred to as Mrs. Mpisane until the divorce is officially settled. There are reports that the couple continues to reside together in MaMkhize’s lavish La Lucia mansion, occupying separate wings of the residence.
Mpisane, formerly a Metro police constable, gained recognition as one of the richest cops in Durban due to his association with MaMkhize’s business ventures. He later joined her construction business. The couple shares two known children, including Andile, who is the chairperson of Royal AM, and Sbahle, whom Mpisane treats as his own.
While details regarding Sbu Mpisane’s current whereabouts remain undisclosed, speculation continues as to his activities and the status of his relationship with MaMkhize.
