Shaka iLembe: BCCSA responds to complaint of bare-chested women

After witnessing cast members with bare brεasts on Mzansi Magic’s Shaka iLembe, one fan became upset and decided to file a complaint with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa BCCSA.

Shaka Zulu’s story is told in the series, which features a talented cast of local performers, including Nomzamo Mbatha and Senzo Radebe, and it has numerous themes that are deeply rooted in Zulu culture.

A viewer complains to the BCCSA about Shaka iLembe’s bare-chested characters.

The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA), according to The South African, received a letter from a viewer criticising the show for having characters flash their breasts.

They argued that the series is in context to the Zulu culture and airs at suitable times when underaged people should no longer consume television.

They also argued that it has an age restriction of 16 and is in line with culture.
